How lightweight is Foamiture® furniture?

Foamiture furniture's complete foam construction allows for an ever-changing seating configuration. The biggest Foamiture piece, weighing merely 45 lbs, won't hamper your changing needs.

Foamiture seating weighs significantly less than other ottomans, chairs, and sofas!

How does not having a frame affect Foamiture® furniture?

Because of the nature of the Reflex Natural foam, Foamiture is sturdy and stable despite the fact that it doesn’t have a frame. Foamiture furniture is more comfortable because there aren't hard wood or metal frames. The lack of a rigid frame makes it easier to move the foam furniture through tight corners, narrow halls, and doorways than it is to move other furniture. Foamiture furniture is quality furniture – not cheap furniture that you'll want to toss to the curb in a few years.

Foamiture furniture's design makes it an excellent addition to game room, college dorm room, or kids room.

How does the Shipping process affect my product?

Our Patent-Pending shrinking/shipping process does not damage Foamiture furniture in any way. Shrinking is simply done by taking air out of the foam. When you allow air to reenter the product by cutting open the packaging, your Foamiture furniture will return to its original shape within minutes.

Foamiture furniture's vinyl cover may look wrinkled initially. Packaging wrinkles will smooth out after several days of use.

How long can I keep my Foamiture® furniture packaged?

Open packaged Foamiture furniture upon receiving it to avoid damaging the Reflex Natural foam base and cover material. Heading to school in the fall? Have your Foamiture furniture shipped directly to your college or university!

How do I clean my Foamiture® furniture?

To keep your Foamiture looking its best, clean your product’s vinyl cover using the following cleaning techniques:

  • For general purpose cleaning, use Spray-n-Wash Stain Stick or Fantastik (container must state it can be used on vinyl), or mild dish soap (such as Dawn or Ivory) and very warm water. Gently scrub with a small soft bristle brush.
  • For dirt build-up, use Spray-n-Wash Stain Stick or Fantastik, or mild dish soap. Let mild dish soap soak for approximately 10 minutes, and then gently scrub with a soft bristle brush.

Use these products to clean your Foamiture vinyl covering:

  • Mild dish soaps (such as Dawn or Ivory)
  • Spray-n-Wash Stain Stick
  • Fantastik
  • 303 Protectant

DO NOT use these products to clean your Foamiture® furniture vinyl covering:

  • Formula 409 (bottle states “Not for use on vinyl.”)
  • Murphy's Oil Soap
  • Simple Green
  • DC Plus
  • ArmorAll
  • Top Kote Sealant
  • Son-of-a-Gun
  • Orange 88 Degreaser
  • Roll-Off
  • Bleach/Baking Soda
  • Turtle Wax/Tar Remover (containers state “Not for use on vinyl.”)
  • APCO
  • Harbor Mate
  • Do not use kerosene, gasoline, or acetone; they will remove the vinyl’s protective top coat.
  • Do not use any silicone based products. They will extract the plasticizers in the vinyl, leaving it hard and brittle, eventually cracking may occur.

Other Tips

  • It is a common misconception that household bleach, chlorine based cleaners, and other strong commercial cleaning solutions are good for treating stains on vinyl furniture. These solutions may appear to clean well for a time, but they clean by removing layers of finish along with the stained material on top of the finish. Continued use of such products will deteriorate the appearance of your Foamiture furniture's vinyl cover.
  • Vinyl is a porous material similar to leather. The pores must be able to breathe, so be careful not to clog your vinyl’s pores with body lotions, oils, etc.
  • Proper vinyl cleaning and maintenance increases the life of your vinyl furniture.
